1. Chiropractic care is only for back pain: While chiropractors commonly treat back pain, they also provide care for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, including neck pain, headaches, joint pain, hands, shoulders, knees, feet, TMJ, and more.

2. Chiropractic adjustments are painful: Adjustments are typically not painful at all. Mild soreness or discomfort may occur temporarily after treatment, similar to post-exercise soreness.

3. Chiropractors only treat adults: Chiropractic care can be provided to people of all ages, including infants, children, and pregnant women. Techniques are modified accordingly for each age group.

4. Chiropractic care is not evidence-based: Chiropractic treatments are supported by scientific research, and many studies demonstrate their effectiveness for specific conditions, such as low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and high blood pressure.

5. Chiropractic care is addictive: Chiropractic adjustments are not addictive. Some people may choose ongoing care for maintenance or prevention, but it is not necessary for everyone.
